Case Presentation MEN1.15.3.1399

History

The patient that we are presented with is a 32-year-old women with the chief complaint of hypoglycemia and weakness, known case of Prolactinoma who presented with the following signs and symptoms from 12 years ago :

  • Headache
  • Spontaneous  Galactorrhea
  • Amenorrhea (secondary amenorrhea after the first menstrual cycle when she was 15 years old and had normal puberty. Between the ages of 15 and 20, no work-up has been done on her amenorrhea)
  • The patient has since been diagnosed with Prolactinoma by a neurologist treated with cabergoline 0.5 mg twice a week and then half a tablet twice a week.
  • During 4 years of treatment:
  • Galactorrhea becomes milder (Induced galactorrhea) but does not go away
  • Amenorrhea does not improve.
